Hi,
I have heard that adding new copy to your website regularly is great for SEO. Is this true? If so, how would you suggest we do this? I don’t want to keep re-writing the content.
Regards,
Sandra.

Hi Sandra,
Thanks for getting in touch. Yes, adding new copy regularly is an important part of any SEO campaign. Why? Because this shows search engines that you are keeping the information on your website fresh and up to date therefore keeping it relevant to its users. Not only is it important for a search engine but it will also keep your visitors coming back to look at your latest news. It doesn’t mean you need to be re-writing pages on your website you can add industry news, new products, news articles or just any bits of new information. Beware of duplicate content though, you could be penalised by the search engines if you have copied content from somewhere else.
Some other great ways to get new content on the website are creating a blog and/or paying someone else to write bespoke articles relevant to your business and regularly uploading them.
You could also try setting up an ‘ask the expert’ section where people can send in questions and you answer them, these are then displayed on the website in an FAQ’s section.
Each of these options will give you time to focus on other things and piece of mind that your website is continually growing with the addition of new pages and fresh, up-to-date information, both of which are an essential part of a good SEO campaign.
