Search giant Google attracted the biggest number of unique web visitors in the US during July, comScore has revealed.
The research company's latest report on the most popular US web destinations showed that Google received 141.6 million unique visits last month, placing it ahead of the likes of Yahoo! and Microsoft.
Meanwhile, the AOL-owned Platform-A service made its ads visible to 90 per cent of the US internet population during July, while leisure websites saw strong growth during the month as a result of the summer holidays.
"Ground travel and cruise sites gained once again as many Americans sought more budget-friendly ways to enjoy their summer vacations amid economic and fuel price concerns," said executive vice-president of comScore Media Metrix Jack Flanagan remarked.
Google was also the most popular website among Britons in June, followed by sites owned by Microsoft and eBay, comScore revealed recently.
