Computer giants Microsoft sought advice from over 1,200 search-marketing professionals at the Search Marketing Expo in Seattle earlier this week.
Kevin Johnson, president of Microsoft's platforms and service division, talked to attendees of the conference about the company's product Live Search, often referred to as MSN - its old name - according to the Seattle Times.
He then asked the audience for feedback and ideas about what they wanted to see from his company.
Mr Johnson told his audience: "The more that you utilise Live Search, evangelise to others, the more I will help make sure that we continue to innovate and market and get it out there."
A leading search marketing professional who attended the conference felt that while Microsoft had work to do to catch up to leading company Google and rivals Yahoo, they were too big a company to write off.
Microsoft have admitted that in order to catch up with its competitors, Live Search needed to work on the image of the product, perhaps reverting back to its MSN brand, according to the Associated Press.
