Search engine optimisation (SEO) is a continually developing process, it has been claimed.
The American Chronicle reported that for businesses to keep on top of SEO, they need to "stay in tune" and be aware of any developments.
To do this, it said that newsletters and news relating to the firm's product or service area are good indicators of any change in trend. Forums and general networking are also effective ways of maintaining the most up-to-date website.
"With every day something new comes to the table, a new method of organic SEO," warned the online magazine.
However, unethical means of obtaining links is not recommended, it continued, recommending that for those firms who are unsure of the right way to develop SEO, expert advice is available.
A recent study by Enquiro Research found that not only are web users more likely to remember a company which has a high search ranking, they are more likely to associate the firm with the terms they entered.
