Businesses which do not invest in professional search engine optimisation advice will fall behind their competitors, it has been claimed.
Utopia Web Solutions warns companies that it is "essential" that internet users searching for their products or services can reach the firm's website with as few clicks as possible.
It also advises that web pages should be quick to load, as users often lose interest and may turn to a competitor's page when they become bored of waiting.
"The UK market offers great potential for your business and if you miss out on what is available from internet traffic you will have to play catch-up when your competitors get in their first," the firm reports.
Internet consultant Justilien Gaspard reported on Search Engine Watch that some firms are missing out on vital web traffic by not taking search engine optimisation into account when creating their company website.
