A new business search engine has been launched in the UK this week.
Sinequa, a French search vendor, aims to increase relevancy and content produced, reports IT Week.
The firm's UK manager Colin Hadden said that the product generates search results and concepts based on a combination of syntax analysis and semantic algorithms.
"Basically you can point the engine at content and get good user-focused results without any tuning at all," he explained.
Mr Hadden added that the site had built-in security to reduce the cost and time of businesses integrating the engine.
It supports 18 languages and can also be set to recognise business language specific to certain sectors, reports the firm.
According to ITInsite, by November 2006, there were over 100 million websites on the internet, 27.4 million more than the previous year.
The company also reported that by September 2006 there were 37.6 million internet users.
