Yahoo! Search Assist 'fuels customer experience improvement'

21st February 2008

Yahoo! has witnessed an improvement in the satisfaction levels of its users since launching Search Assist, new figures show.

A new blog post on the Yahoo! Search Marketing blog reports that the latest Keynote Customer Experience Study shows a jump in the firm's results.

Since the launch of Search Assist, Yahoo!'s ranking jumped to 878 - an improvement of 41 points that takes the company to first place in the search assistance category.

Meanwhile, Google's results increased from 869 to 875, Ask.com from 847 to 849 and Aggregate from 837 to 848.

"I think the Keynote study provides some nice third party validation that by focusing directly on a key user need and building a solution that addresses it pays dividends to our users," observes Michael Kronthal of the Yahoo! Search Customer Insights Team.

Launched in October 2007, Search Assist announced its arrival with the claim of providing "the most advanced assistance technology on the web".
