7th January 2008

Keywords, local search and pay-per-click advertising are among the top issues that online advertisers need to be working on this year, it has been claimed.

According to online marketing firm Oneupweb, these projects are going to be extremely relevant to the industry during the first three months of 2008.

Chief executive of the firm Lisa Wehr said that some of the strategies are easy to implement and some may take a little more time and effort.

"But what's important is that marketers take the steps now to integrate them into their overall marketing plan," she added. "A little work up front can pay huge dividends."

Ms Wehr explained that the firm's research is based on natural and paid project managers predictions' and that by following them, marketers will see reward from their online ad investment.

Steve King, chief executive of Zenith Optimedia, recently announced that he expects the internet to overtake magazines as the world's third-largest medium of advertising by 2010.
