Google Analytics has released a new beta feature called ‘Analytics Intelligence’ which is designed to inform you of performance changes on your accounts. This is a real step forward at improving the accessibility of Google Analytics, which can often overwhelm with the mass of metrics and statistics it provides.
Analytics Intelligence will provide you with an overview of any significant changes in the behaviour of visitors to your website. For example, if your bounce rate were to increase then analytics intelligence would point this out. It would even go on to tell you if this was as a result of an increase in a specific region, such as London.

members of staff from Epiphany Solutions ran the Harewood House 10k last weekend, raising a huge £2,500+ in sponsorship for Cancer Research UK.
The event saw more than 1700 participants encircle the magnificent grounds of Harewood House in north Leeds, to raise money for the charity.
The idea was first introduced by CEO Shane Quigley, who thought that doing a fun run would be a great team-building exercise, whilst also whipping the agency into better shape (not implying they needed it….).

Google have released a new feature for their Website Optimiser product. You can now track the conversion rate as it changes per day, or per hour. This will be represented visually too in a graph showing each variation over time.
This is a very useful new development, which you will appreciate if you’ve ever been running a test for a while when one of your pages breaks and ruins the test. You will now be able to take the data for the period of time the test ran correctly, and recover the test.

The 28th September 2009 saw the launch of Yahoo’s latest campaign to win back our hearts and ultimately get us to use its redesigned portal (http://uk.my.yahoo.com) where customisation is key. This global ad campaign is now in full swing with billboards in place all over the country (and probably the world) as well as banner, skyscraper and video ads on the Web and TV commercials across major channels.
So it’s time to take a critic look and gauge whether this new campaign is going to hit the mark.

Google has this week unveiled a new UK auction-based video ad platform for YouTube based around the current YouTube Promoted Videos format, in an attempt to increase ad revenues and attract new advertisers.
YouTube Promoted Videos are YouTube videos – from movie trailers to product demos to really almost any kind of video on YouTube – promoted by their creators so they can reach a wider audience. (As described in the latest Inside AdSense blog, which can be found here: http://adsense.blogspot.com/2009/10/youtube-promoted-videos-to-appear-on.html)
