When it comes to YouTube, there is a variety of factors that will help a video rank at the top of YouTube and even appear as the first result of a universal search result in Google. In three days time, the world will tune in to one of the biggest spectacles on the planet – The World Cup. We’ve already blogged about companies jumping on the World Cup bandwagon, now Google have joined in with the fun.
For any normal event or anniversary, Google would usually change their logo. Not this time. This time they have tried a different tactic. Using the same “World Cup” search and scrolling to the bottom of the page, you find the normal “Goooooooogle” page numbers replaced with “Goooooooooal!”. (more…)

OK, I’ll openly admit this wasn’t discovered by myself, Dave found it while browsing to Google. Either way, this has to be one of the best Google logo’s to date.
Google are known for their logo designs depending on certain events and anniversaries of particular people or innovations. Today is no different – only this time, they have done something extremely cool. (more…)

The hot topic of the past week or so has been Google’s new venture into the Social Media arena – Google Buzz.
The idea behind Buzz is to have the ability to put what you want into status updates such as photos, links and videos and share these easily with your email contacts and those you follow. You can even import status updates from other Social Media websites such as Twitter, Google Reader and Picasa.
First Impressions
First impressions haven’t been great around the world for poor ole Buzz. The platform has been met with large amounts of criticism over privacy and lack of functionality instead of excitement of a “Twitter Killer”. (more…)
